Preparing Public Investment Projects – A Guide for Indigenous Communities in Colombia

This guide about preparing public investment projects is addressed to indigenous communities in Colombia, to raise awareness about royalties from Extractive Industries, the rights they have to have access to these resources, as well as explaining the process to create investment proposals to tackle their needs with the support from local governments. It is also useful for rural communities facing similar challenges.

En esta cartilla, que hemos titulado “El sendero que nos guía en la formulación de nuestros proyectos”, y que está dirigida a todas las comunidades indígenas de Colombia, podemos conocer qué son las regalías y qué es un proyecto, cómo se formula y cuáles son los mecanismos establecidos por el gobierno para que los indígenas presenten proyectos que nos ayuden a solucionar los problemas y/o necesidades de nuestras comunidades. También es muy útil como material para comunidades rurales que enfrentan el mismo reto de preparar proyectos para inversión local.
